hats off to klitchko, he was the better man - 05/07/2011
peace guys
I thought that i would give a final little report on our hamburg trip. As im sure you all know David failed in his bid to take Wladamir's titles off him to add to his own W.B.A. strap last saturday, losing a points decision. Up untill round 5 i still felt good in the corner with what was going on. We had planned for David to have landed more up untill that point, but he was doing the z movment with his feet and being busy with his head movement to take away klitchkos jab. However as every round then slipped by David wasn't closing the gap he would create when klitchko would pull away from his shots, in order to unload the shots that were really supposed to count. Anyway, it ended up becoming a case of the longer the fight went on, the more it was a case of wheather klitchko would make a mistake that david could take advantage of, as opposed to david landing his big shots because of what he was creating. basicaly, klitchko got in his groove and it got more and more unlikely David would do it.
In my oppinion David gave it he's best shot with what he had on the night and the better man won. Klitchko has re-built himself after suffering two devastaing knock outs back in 2002-2203, and deserves complete respect, because he done it when everyone, including hid own brother had told him to quit and that he would never make it. It's a long hard journey when the only one that belives in you, is you. I wish him the best for the future, he deserves all he gets.
David and Adam sat down 11years ago in a fast food bar untill 2.30am in the morning, talking of their plans to go pro and what they wanted to achieve. They set out 3 points, 1) to win as many belts as possible (2) to earn as much money as possible (3) to do it on their own terms.
Well. they achieved everything that they wanted. David has had a relativley short career. He has won 25 of 27 fights. he was european cruiserweight champion, undisputed world champion at that weight, and W.B.A. world heavyweight champion. They also did it all on their terms. I don't know of anyone that has fought the klitchko's and got 50-50 on the deal. We can't have everything the exact way we want it. I'm sure the same as every other fighter to put a pair of gloves on, he would like to finish undefeated, but that rearly happens. I think what Adam and David have achieved is remarkable in his career as a boxer and Adam's as a trainer, manager and promoter. I hope David now moves on to the next phase of his life and achieves as much in that.
With that being said, I would like to congradulate them both,......David and Wlad, and I hope Adam keeps going, he has so much to offer the game we all love. peace, paddy fitz

roof top escape in hamburg - 30/06/2011
peace guys
thought id give you a little update from hamburg. we had the public workout yesterday at a merc dealership in the city centre. When we got there klichkos people put us in a room on the first floor and told us to wait untill were called. When one of our guys went to the toilet he told us that they had their security lined up the whole way down the stairs on both sides with manny stewart and vitali in the middle. So acting like the bunch of grown up school kids that we are, the whole team (bar kevin, davids physio) scrambled out a little window in our ''holding'' room, traveled along the roof of the dealership (with nervous staff pulling the blinds and closing the windows) and down the other side of the building by a fire escape. As all of the klitchko security were waiting for us kevin walked out the door and down the stairs only to hear the bemused men in black swearing their heads off after they noticed there was no one else i there.
seconds later we appeared from the mechanics garage through the crowd that was waiting to see david to a big applause. 3 days to go to the most dangerous fight of both these guys careers. I'll keep you posted
